About the Project

Judicial Exposition

Judicial Exposition develops subject-focused digests of decisions delivered by individual Hon’ble High Court Judges. Each volume examines a defined field of law and period of judicial work, bringing related decisions together through issue-based indexing, headnotes, case notes and references.

The series begins with service law and is intended to extend to other fields, including criminal and civil law, as further volumes are researched and prepared.

Purpose and approach

The series is designed to make a substantial body of judicial decisions easier to navigate without separating a legal proposition from its source. A reader may begin with a subject, locate the relevant case material, and then consult the underlying judgment.

Each volume should state its judicial source, field of law, coverage period, compiler or editor, and publication details. Its indexes and internal references are intended to support research by advocates, courts, scholars, law libraries and students.

The first publication

The first volume, Judicial Exposition of Service Law, concerns service-law decisions of Hon’ble Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia of the Madhya Pradesh High Court for the period stated in the book as 2017–2025. The publication page sets out its scope, edition, research structure and available reading formats.
